Metro services run every 3 minutes during rush hours, while in the least busy periods and on Sundays, the intervals range from 5 to 10 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Main lines<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Athens Metro comprises three main lines, each connecting key locations across the city. Here’s a quick overview of what each line offers:<\/p>\n

Line 1<\/strong> (Green) runs from Piraeus port to Kifisia, passing through the bustling Monastiraki and Omonia squares.<\/p>\n

Line 2<\/strong> (Red) links Elliniko to Anthoupoli, with stops at popular spots like Syntagma Square and the Acropolis Museum.<\/p>\n

For Line 1 (Green)<\/strong>, the first departure from Piraeus Port<\/strong> and Kifisia<\/strong> is at 05:00, with the last departure at 00:15.<\/p>\n

On Line 2 (Red)<\/strong>, the first departure from Elliniko<\/strong> and Anthoupoli<\/strong> is at 05:30. The last departures are at 00:03 from Elliniko<\/strong> and 00:06 from Anthoupoli<\/strong>. An extended timetable is available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with the last departures at 01:40 from Elliniko<\/strong> and 01:43 from Anthoupoli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For Line 3 (Blue)<\/strong>, the first departure from Piraeus<\/strong> and Doukissis Plakentias<\/strong> is at 05:30. The last departures are at 00:01 from Doukissis Plakentias<\/strong> and 23:57 from Dimotiko Theatro<\/strong>. An extended timetable on Fridays through Sundays allows the last departures to be at 01:38 from Doukissis Plakentias<\/strong> and 01:34 from Dimotiko Theatro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Trains to and from Athens Airport<\/strong> run every 30 to 45 minutes. The first train from Piraeus<\/strong> to the Airport<\/strong> departs at 05:30, while the first train from the Airport<\/strong> to Piraeus<\/strong> leaves at 06:10.<\/p>\n
