There also some more days during a year that museums in Greece (included National Gallery and National Glyptotheque) have a free entrance and those are the following dates:
6 March (Melina Mercouri Memorial Day)
18 April (International Monuments Day)
18 May (International Museums Day)
The last weekend of September: 27 & 28 September 2025 (European Heritage Days)
28 October (Greek National Day)
If you plan to visit Acropolis Museum, check its opening hours as it does not follow the general rule of free admission every first Sunday from November to March. However, admission is free on the following dates: 6 March, 25 March, 18 May, 18 May, 28 October
Another useful information is about National Museum of Natural History Goulandris in the Kifissia area, near the Kifissia metro station (Green Line) is tthat, from recently that became a National Museum, it has also free entrance the first Saturday of every month, begginning from 7th of February 2026. More details here.
