Celebrated across Greece and by Hellenic communities worldwide, it’s a day filled with pride, remembrance, and joy.
As Ohi Day is a public holiday, many shops will remain closed, and public transport will operate on limited schedules. The main parade begins at 11:00 a.m. in Syntagma Square, with nearby streets closed to traffic. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore Athens on foot, take in the festive atmosphere, and experience Greek history and spirit come alive in the heart of the city.
