Are you ready to participate in the biggest sports celebration of Athens?
The 5k races (Road Race & Universities Night Run) will take place on Saturday 8 November and the Kids Race 1.2K, the Marathon race as well as the 10k race on Sunday 9 November. Please have in mind that many roads around city center as well around Marathon area will be closed for cars during the day, so if you planned to take your car those days, think it again. Instead, it’s a better idea to walk or use public transport to reach Kallimarmaro and support the runners to participate in that celebration! It’s a really unique experience to live it if you are in Athens this weekend, even if you don’t participate running!
There are also parallel events these days in Athens influenced by Athens Marathon like Marathon Expo ( 5 – 8 November 2025) in Faliro.
If you want to do more than just cheer from the sidelines and actually take part in this historic run, make sure to register well in advance—spots fill up fast and registrations close months before the big day!
