Tip of the day – European Film Panorama in Athens

In its 35 years of existence, the Panorama of European Cinema has become an artistic institution that every autumn marks the cultural life of Athens. The new British cinema, the cinema of perestroika, the new Italian cinema, the comedy of Ealing Studios, the cinema of the imagination, science fiction films, What future? Ecological and other problems, censorship in cinema, the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution, the 40th anniversary of the magazine “Cayet du Cinema”, Depression – the great financial crash, love and eroticism in cinema, are just some of the tributes to topical issues that the festival has hosted over the years.
The Panorama of European Cinema is mainly oriented towards the promotion of European and Greek cinema, both contemporary and older, without ignoring films from the rest of the world.
