It’s the second biggest city of Peloponnese region, after Patra, known for its rich history and stunning seaside views, Kalamata transforms into a festive wonderland during the holiday season. Here, you will also have the chance to see the most traditional Greek custom of decorating a ship instead of the Christmas tree:  Kalamata has both.

Access: To reach Kalatamata from Athens, without your own car, you could use bus. Your departure will be from Kifissos Bus Station, and you could see the updated hours here and book your ticket online. It’s around a 3h trip,  depends on the route you will choose.  Of  course, you could book  a private tour to have a  more independent, relaxed and comfortable trip.
