If you are a vivliophile person and you love visiting bookshops and libraries during your trips, here is another one you should put in your list in Athens. There is a bookshop that took its name from Gutenberg and it is located in the heart of Athens, in Kolonaki area (37, Didotou Street) where you could make a visit to see its atmosphere or attend a meeting with a writer which are often organized at its loft, but also wander around the area where you will find many bookshops around, as it is an area known for the printing companies and bookshops.
Aldus Manutius, the Italian printer who preserved much of ancient Greek literature, born on 1449 and died like today on 1515 is also a well known personality who has his own street in Athens. And you can even stay in this street if you are looking for an apartment for your upcoming trip to Athens.
