Tip of the day – Ellinikon Experience Centre

The Experience Park extends over 75 acres, surrounding the proud hangars of the Air Force which have been designated as Newer Monuments by the Ministry of Culture, with plenty of greenery, 700 new trees and thousands of new low-growing plantings, as part of the new landscape design by the architectural firm doxiadis+. And although it has only been open for six months, the Experience Park has already become a meeting point for everyone: Young, old, runners, cyclists, pet lovers, nature lovers. Moving into the heart of the Park, you come across The Ellinikon Experience Centre. And there you realise that the future is already here.

The Ellinikon Experience Centre is open daily from 11:00 to 22:00.

Admission is free, and pre-booking is required (here).

Access is easy, from Vouliagmenis Avenue, very close to the Ellinikon Metro stop. For the convenience of visitors, there is free parking at the Experience Park, which also serves the visitors of the Experience Centre.

Chocolate & Ice Cream Experience

Chocolate & Ice Cream is a unique and world-class educational and recreational chocolate park for all visitors within The Ellinikon Experience Park. With the help of technology, innovative and original ideas, young and old alike take a dreamlike journey full of surprises, from the past to the present, following the path of cocoa from distant, exotic countries to Europe, from the first Indian tribes that drank cocoa to its arrival in Greece and the production of the wonderful chocolate. Cocoa, chocolate and ice cream together with the visitors become protagonists in a unique story of discovery & adventure.

Chocolate waterfalls, fountains, huge chocolates and ice creams, workshops for making sweets complete the elements that make up a unique experience! The Chocolate Park operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Education & Religious Affairs. The educational programme is structured by great teachers and the Hellenic Dental Federation.

The total duration of the tour is 1 hour, with each group starting the tour approximately every 15 minutes. Free visitors (families, individual groups, etc.) are grouped separately by the park’s operation manager for their participation in the tour. Schools book their visits with scheduled appointments. It is an exciting journey of discoveries and experience, where the audience is not just simple visitors but real protagonists in a fairy-tale and educational story related to cocoa, chocolate, and ice cream. Young visitors, in addition to the tour, will participate in a special party and a fun chocolate-making workshop at the end of the tour.
