This year, the Navy is commemorating this day on Sunday 17 August and as every year, visits to some of the country’s lighthouses will take place. So, on the occasion of this year’s World Lighthouse Day, citizens will have the opportunity to visit 18 lighthouses located in the country and learn about their operation, their importance as heritage sites, their contribution to navigation safety, the country’s lighthouse network and the contribution of lighthouse keepers to it.
Visiting Hours:
The lighthouses welcome visitors twice daily, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and again from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to explore and appreciate their charm.
