We believe that everyone feels that they want to decompress from (another one, to be honest…) difficult year and the best opportunity for this is the upcoming holiday season. The shops have already started to decorate and prepare for Chrstmas shopping, while the city of Athens itself will light on the traditional christmas tree on Thursday, November 28 at 18.00. You can enjoy the malls in all their glory, but also don’t forget to support the small local market and shops in the center and its neighbourhoods.

The most important thing is to find clean accommodation, ready to welcome you and people to help you with your needs, so that to save time and get the most from the city. As you are here, that’s the first step. DIscover our comfortable furnished apartmentsthat are available the days of your stay, in Κουκάκι and Acropolis area as well in Ampelokipoi and Ilisia that are strategicallly located in the center of all the things you want to do in Athens during your visit in Greek capital (at the end of this post, you will find the magic code for a discount).

an But let’s see the days and hours of operation, which Sundays the shops will stay open and some activities we suggest to do, especially if you are visiting Athens for the first time with your children.

Open shops on Sundays

On December 1st the shops will remain open. Combined with Black Friday which this year falls on November 29th, we have a whole Friday weekend ahead of us that we can take advantage of for great prices and discounts. And as you know, some offers can only be found in person, in physical stores.

To be more specific, on Sunday 1/12, from 11.00 to 18.00 the stores of the shopping malls will be open: The Mall Athens, Golden Hall, Athens Metro Mall, Avenue Mall, McArthurGlenn.

Isn’t this program working for you? Plan your Christmas visit to Athens!

From December 12 begins officially the festive opening hours where the shops will remain open from 09.00 to 21.00 and on Sundays 15, 22 and 29 December from 09.00 to 18.00. We remind you that the days 25 & 26 December, as well as 1 & 2 January are official holidays and therefore shops are closed.
