Tip of the day 9/10/2022 – Extension of Athens Metro to Piraeus

Three new stations of the blue line of the Athenian metro will inaugurate tomorrow. This line that will now start from the central port of the city (and the largest in the country), Piraeus to Athens airport, Eleftherios Venizelos. So, if you  are flying in Athens and then take the ferry to greek islands, it is easier to get there. But even if you don’t travel by ferry or plane, it is a good suggestion to discover Piraeus, as it is an area close to Athens and also close to the sea with many nice restaurants, shops and bars. Old taverns in Peraiki, elegant restaurants in Mikrolimano, bars with view in Kastella. And of course another must stop will be the Municipal Theater.
