The 17th of March is not only a religious holiday. It has a strong secular content, as it is also celebrated by the Irish as a national holiday. The predominant colour is green and the clover has its place of honour. If you were in Dublin, or wherever in Ireland, probably today you would participate in the big parade that happens there. But you are in Athens, and here are some suggestions of (irish) pubs and bars, to feel it as close as it gets:
Molly Malone’s (8 Giannitsopoulou G., Glyfada 166 74 Greece)
The Wee Dram Scottish Pub (16-18 Konopisopoulou , Athens 115 24 Greece)
Berlin by 5 drunk men (Timotheou 2-8, Athina 116 34 Greece)
Brauhaus 3K (Leoforos Dekelias 67, Nea Filadelfia 143 41)
Red Lion Pub (Niriidon 16, Athens, Greece)
Athens Sports Bar (Veikou 3A 11742 Athens, Greece)
Pulp Athens (Veikou 5, 11742, Athens, Greece)
The Lucky Sparrow Pub (Triptolepou 44, 11854 Athens, Greece)
O’Canto (Aristotelous 31, Alimos 17455 Athens, Greece)
So grab a Guiness beer and celebrate the day in Athens at some of the best irish pubs we have!
