New Year’s Eve in Athens | On December 31st, Athens will welcome 2025 in the heart of the city, at Syntagma Square, with an impressive show organized by the Municipality of Athens, with lots of music, fun, dancing, fireworks, glitter and many surprises!

This year, on New Year’s Eve, we will meet at Syntagma Square! The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens will warm us up with festive melodies,
followed by live music, dancing, rhythm, and surprise artists who will make the turn of the year even more magical. With joy, smiles, and a festive mood, we bid farewell to
2025 and welcome 2026 together, in the heart of the capital, with the hope and optimism that befits the new year. Come and be part of the warmest, brightest, and most festive night in Athens!

You  can also choose to spend the New Year’s Eve in Xmas Village of Pedion Areos where there will be a Christmas concert beginning  at 23.00 or Xmas West Park in Tritsi  Park with live music and DJs.

Don’t forget, especially if you are a sport person, then you should go to Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Opening the New Year’s Eve celebration at 22.30. The New Year is ushered in with a spectacular fireworks show that will light up the Athenian sky, while the first few minutes of the New Year mark the start of the first race of the year, the long-established SNF RUN: 2026 FIRST RUN of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Thereafter, a big party is thrown at the Agora. An indispensable part of the program are the striking choreographies of the Fountains at the Canal.
