Tip of the day 09/02 – World Greek Language Day

The 9th of February, in memory of the national Greek poet Dionysios Solomos, who died like today on 1857, has been established as World Greek Language Day. Dionysios Solomos is the poet who wrote the National  anthem with Nikolaos  Mantzaros who made the music. By the way, the Greek anthem is the largest national anthem worldwide, with 632 lyrics.  Those lyrics of the anthem is part of the poem “Hymne to Freedom” which wrote at 1823.
