Christmas in Peristeri

The Municipality of Peristeri is transforming itself into “Peristeri of Many Stars” again this year, offering the most impressive, bright, and action-packed Christmas program in Attica! From November 28, 2025, to January 6, 2026, the Town Hall Square – “Peristeri” Metro Station (red line) will be filled with sparkle and festive energy, with free admission everywhere, transforming the city into a lively destination of joy — with daily free events, spectacular shows, music, games, and surprises for all ages.

At the heart of the festive program are the big concerts, which will bring rhythm and sparkle to the celebrations in Peristeri. Beloved artists will take to the stage of “Peristeri Pollon Asteron” (Peristeri of Many Stars), offering unforgettable evenings with free admission: Elena Paparizou, Artemis Matafia, Ivi Adamou, Klavdia, Giannis Kapsalis, and Ria Ellinidou.

The program includes the Christmas Market, the magical Carousel, the impressive Manger and Christmas Tree, the children’s train and boat, as well as Santa’s House, where children’s favorite Saint welcomes them for photos and letters. At the same time, the Elf Workshops offer creative crafts, face painting, and the special “Christmas Big Screen Digital Party,” while the city’s large festive trains run through the decorated neighborhoods. Ginger, the Christmas elf, is in the square every day for games, photos, and interaction.

At the same time, the Municipality is preparing for another year of the big, traditional cutting of the New Year’s Vasilopita, with 80,000 pieces and a total weight of 10 tons, which will be distributed free of charge to residents, offering a special moment of joy and festive unity.


Christmas in Chalandri neighborhood

Concerts, art and music theater workshops for children, a Christmas market in the Central Square, a carousel, the big Christmas concert by the Philharmonic Orchestra, and of course the Night Run – Christmas Run. December in Halandri is a month of celebration and winter cultural festivals, promising joy and carefree fun for young and old alike.

The program of events

Tuesday, December 9: Central Square, 7:00 p.m. Lighting of the Christmas tree in the presence of the mayor of Halandri, Simos Roussos. The Halandri Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra will get us in the holiday spirit with its melodies. Swing concert with Artemida Matafia and the Jazzentials.

Friday, December 12: Gerakas Cultural Center, 8:00 p.m. Concert by the Halandri Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra – Jazz, musical in festive rhythms. Singers: Penelope Anastasopoulou and Panagiotis Petrakis. Admission is free to the public.

Saturday, December 13: M. Vasilopoulos Children’s Library (6 Solonos Street), 11:30 a.m. “Let’s make a Christmas fairy tale” creative activity for children and parents with Katerina Tzortzakaki, for children aged 6-11.

Sunday, December 14 – 5th Christmas Night Run, 9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., starting and ending at Halandri Central Square. Registration is available online.

Wednesday, December 17: M. Vasilopoulos Children’s Library (6 Solonos Street), 5:00 p.m. Christmas workshop “The Tree of Gratitude” with Sofia Sapriki for children ages 6-11.

Friday, December 19: Central Square, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Musical theater workshop, sparklers, balloon creations, treasure hunt.

Carousel & Christmas village

A festive carousel will be set up in the Central Square, as well as a Christmas village with little houses and activities for children.

The traditional Christmas market will also be open, with “little houses” provided by the Municipality of Halandri to non-profit, charitable organizations.

Christmas Village @ Fix Park, Iraklio neighborhood

A magical, Christmas Village opens its doors at Fix Estate, the largest park in the Municipality of Heraklion, Attica. From 10 December to 7 January of 2026, young and old visitors alike will be able to take their festive strolls through the park.

With a free entrance for all, the Christmas Village of the Municipality of Heraklion Attica is open every day until 7/1 and on public holidays from 10.00 in the morning until 22.00 at night. In its corridors visitors will find a large ice rink, the Christmas train, Santa’s house, games and activities for children, food and sweets as well as live music on selected days.

The entrances to the Village are located at 524 Heraklion Avenue and Agios Loukas Square. For ease of access on weekdays from morning to noon, the bus of the Municipal Public Transport of the Municipality of Heraklion Attica stops outside Ktima Fix. For parking cars, visitors can use the parking lot at the intersection of Heraklion Avenue and Karoli Dimitriou Street from 15.00 at noon onwards.
