The Peloponnese Wine Festival, the main event of the Peloponnese vineyard, the largest vineyard in the country, is coming again on Monday 20 January 2025, from 12.00 to 21.00 at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel, Aphrodete Hall. 50 members – wineries of the Peloponnese Wine Producers Association of the Peloponnese Vineyard give their established appointment with the wine-loving public and professionals.

The Peloponnese Wine Festival highlights the Peloponnesian wine, giving a complete picture of its authenticity, diversity and specificities. The event, which brings together the cream of the crop of Peloponnese producers, gives the public the opportunity to meet the new and the ‘old’ generation of winemakers, to discover their wines, their experiments and their new bottlings.

As every year, the event focuses on the numerous indigenous varieties of the Peloponnesian vineyard and the wine production zones that make up an extremely rich wine picture. In the third ten days of January, producers pull out of their “hats” new vintages, full of freshness and energy, vintages that until now have been kept in their cellars to develop depth and complexity.

The event is an attraction for every wine lover, as it offers something more than the usual: experimental bottlings, innovative winemaking techniques, wines of mild interventions and creations that capture the imagination and passion of the producers. Greece’s largest vineyard, with its abundance of wine-growing areas – from mountainous landscapes to coastal vineyards – offers the ideal background for highlighting the dynamics of Greek wine and the elements that make it unique on a global level. We are talking about the “ultimate” event for every wine lover, professional or oenophile.

Parallel Event: Peloponnese 2040 / 14:00 – 20:00
This year, the producers of the Peloponnese take a step further, inviting the public, through the Peloponnese 2040 event, to discover all that inspires and concerns them for the future. In a parallel tasting , with the main exhibition, wines will be presented that are leading the Peloponnese into the next day and helping them to face challenges such as that of climate change. The Peloponnesian vineyard, always one step ahead of its time, is a benchmark for the future of Greek wine as a whole.
